This course is an introduction to finite element modeling with the Structural Model Creation app on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. It teaches you how to prepare Finite Element Models for simulation. This includes meshing, material assignment and section properties, and defining connections or rigid bodies.

Course objectives:

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

– Create complete Finite Element Models for structural and thermal simulations

– Define meshes including solid, shell/surface, and beam elements

– Mesh checking and element/node groups

– Create materials and properties

– Define connectors, virtual bolts, fasteners, rigid bodies, and analytical rigid surfaces (ARS)
